Jugend forscht (“Youth researches”) is a German youth science competition. With more than 10,000 participants annually, it is the biggest youth science and technology competition in Europe. Tamara Pröbster research project, carried out in Dr. Hommelhoff’s research group, demonstrated how ultrafast light-induced electron emission from graphene can be decoupled into various processes. This research was recognised by awarding her the first place in the state of Bavaria.
