On 29 April 2016 Gerd Leuchs received the honorary doctoral degree of the Denmark’s Technical University (DTU) at Lyngby. With this honour DTU recognizes his pioneering and outstanding contributions in the fields of quantum optics, quantum information, optical microscopy and interferometry.
